Love this car seat. Have tried several others, this one fits in the vehicle the best, and seems to be the most comfortable for the baby. The straps are easy to use, and best of all - no more sleeping baby hanging from the car seat straps! She is comfortably reclined. Not so with the others we tried. And I can see her again. The other car seats totally blocked my view, but now I can turn and see her very easily. It is the best for a rear-facing baby who outgrew her travel system too soon.
Our daughter has always been on the 100th % for height and our Britax Marathon car seat was too small for her. We own a car with a fairly small back seat and were happy to find a booster seat that would accomodate both our daughter's height [while providing great safety with 5 point harness], as well as free up some of the space in the back seat. Our daughter loves how she can get in and out of the seat by herself, "just like big brother". The only complaint we have received from our daughter is that the bottom buckle [by crotch area] hurts her when she is wearing shorts or skirts. This however is completely eliminated if you make sure the attached padding is placed in the right way before buckling. All in all a great product. Look forward to testing it on an airplane, since Britax was a nightmare to take in and out of an airplane seat.
Not wanting to travel with my toddler's Britax, I ordered this as a safe and easy to transport seat when I go visit friends or relatives that involve a flight. (trying to rustle up the right sized car seats at the destination is stressful). We didn't need the seat for the airline seat (yet), but I liked the fact that this was purported to be FAA compliant and would fit into a regular airline seat. The seat is a nice size, very sturdy due to a steel frame. My daughter liked it. Imagine a Britax without the plastic base. What I found challenging was the weight and dimensions. Although it does "fold" (the seat into the back), it is still pretty bulky and 25 lbs of dead weight heavy. The price seems high at first for a travel car seat, but upon receipt, you'll see that it is a durable piece of equipment. Since it goes up to 80 lbs, I anticipate having many years of use with it and intend on using it as my daughter's "booster" when she gets older.
After much time looking at various car seats in the stores and comparing to the safety and parent reviews from Amazon and other web sites, we decided on the Radian80. We bought one at first to see how we liked it. Our son was just coming out of the infant carrier so we needed the next phase. We decided on the Radian80 with the hopes that we won't need to buy an additional booster seat later, trying to justify the expense. However, we were comparing to Britax mostly (because of their high ratings) which is just as expensive or more and didn't go up to the weight limit as the Radian80. The car seat is very sturdy and installation is a snap (used both the seat belt and now the latch system). He fits in there very nicely, he's secure and the harness is easy to use. We had it rear facing in the middle of the back seat for a couple months but recently moved it to the rear passenger side because he really likes to see out the window and it's easier to get him in and out now. My only complaint is in this position we've had to move the front passenger seat more forward so sitting in that seat isn't the most comfortable if you need the legroom. Once we turn it so he's front facing, this won't be an issue. After having this for a week we bought another one for our other car.
I bougt this from safe babies plus a while ago & resently bought another color for my new baby. It is the best car seat & I tell all my friends with kids to get this. You will love it.
I have a 2003 Mini Cooper which I adore. I did a lot of research to find the right car seat that would work for my daughter AND fit in the car. I found it to be easy to install and comfortable for a 4 1/2 year old who is constantly falling asleep in the car. She loves it - and I do too!
I bought this product after reading other user's reviews...I haven't used it yet but putting it together and using it have proven to be quite a pain. I hope it turns out to be worth it. Also, it seems like it might be too large for a newborn by just looking at it.
fast delivery, actually faster than promised
had item in stock even though most companies were out of it
easy to use
Easy to install, no harder than my Alpha Omega Elite. I actually like the latch hooks very much. My daughter absolutely loves it. She is 3.5 and although it still has the 5pt harness, she says it's a big girl car seat. She has shown everyone that has come near the car her new seat. She slept in it on a trip over the weekend and still had the droopy neck symptoms because it doesn't recline very far, but she doesn't mind. Overall, I definitely recommend.
We decided to keep our little one in a 5-point seat a bit longer and she was fine with that; especially when we showed her the picture, her favorite color and style (Princess). She's 4 1/2 and loves the seat. This is a HEAVY DUTY seat and could probably take a direct hit by a BUICK (kidding)..but it's a VERY SOLID seat. We bought this to be able to travel with and it'll get its first excursion this fall to Scotland from TX and I've no doubt it will make the trip fine. It has a very solid feel and in spite of being quite stiff, daughter says its comfortable. Go to their website and download the manual, quite good, excellent details. I wish we'd found this before her last seat...BUY THIS ONE. Looked at the Britax and it's HUGE...a portable Barco-lounger; this has a much smaller footprint and just feels better (looked at other locally). THIS IS THE ONE TO GET IF YOU'RE ONLY GOING TO BUY ONE.
